Antelope Valley College
The Vocational Nursing Program at Antelope Valley College requires 18 months of study. Graduates will receive a certificate in Vocational Nursing, which will grant them eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians to practice nursing in the state. Enrollment in the program is based on a first come, first served basis for qualified applicants. Waiting lists may be available. Students enrolled in the vocational nursing program at Career Care Institute will be prepared to practice in the ever-changing world of nursing. After completing the 1568 classroom and clinical hours in SJSON’s vocational nursing program, students will meet all the education requirements of the California Board of Vocational Nursing to take the NCLEX-PN exam to begin working in a clinical setting.
